The station first went under the name 103.5 K light FM on October 23, 1995, and had that name until November 30, 2006; from January 1, 2007, to June 19, 2007, it was known as Heart 103.5.

In November of 2006, the K-Lite management made the decision to revamp the station’s programming and organization. New on-air personalities and a more chill format debuted on January 1, 2007, when the station rebranded as Heart 1035. The studio eventually relocated to Jollibee Plaza in Pasig City’s Ortigas Center from Paragon Plaza.

Recently, 103.5 underwent a format shift, adopting contemporary hit music (CHR) sound under the moniker 103.5 Max FM (one-oh-three-and-a-half Max FM). In 2009, they switched to playing Top 40/Dance music while still going under the moniker 103.5 Max FM.
